M: REFRACTIONS FROM AN EVIL ACT
Exiled Theatre is proud to announce that 2026 is the year when we will be returning from our long hibernation to present a world-premiere play to Boston audiences!
The production marks a reuniting of the creative team behind Exiled Theatre’s IRNE-nominated production of Nurse Play and is possible in part because of Boston Playwrights’ Theatre’s New Play Incubator program.
Performances will run July 31 to August 9th at Boston Playwrights’ Theatre. While that may seem like a long way off, the team at Exiled couldn’t contain their excitement to tell our audiences about this beguiling new project.
M: Refractions from an Evil Act
Written by James Wilkinson
Directed by Joe Juknievich
Produced by Morganna Becker and Laura Crook Waxdal
A late-night return. A hotel room that feels…wrong. Traveling abroad, a woman’s unease after a night out deepens into something far more insidious. The staff watches too closely. A man appears, disappears and reappears. Time loops, memory fractures and the past begins to repeat itself. As identities blur and reality destabilizes, she much escape the hotel before she’s trapped by its history.
Intrigued? So are we. There’s lots to do and the team at Exiled is rolling up their sleeves and ready to get to work. Stay tuned over the next few months for more information about the goings on at the company and about this production.
